I am excited to see that the network of bodyworkers is so well connected. I was filmed over a month ago for the Oprah show. I filled in at the last minute when Dr. Oz's (Oprah's Dr.) Rolfer became ill. I am the faculty chair at the RI. Anyhow, the show is on this week on Thursday the 26th. When have been bumped a number of times by more pressing current events.

Don't expect to learn much from the show. It was SHORT and they had it pretty scripted; even though they did not stick to the rehearsed questions.I did get to do a demo on the Doc and Oprah said it looked great and that she wanted to try it.That iin itself is huge!

Let me know if there is a Feldenkrais web site(s) that I should post on my site(I just put a site up last night and can add to it). We are expecting many contacts and inquiries.

Keep up the great work...Jonathan Martine (j.martine@comcast.net)

Structures like to be Integrated. Functions like to be Integrated.
People like to be integrated.
Perhaps,
as you are helping to do,
Rolfing and Feldenkrais
can achieve some sort of cross fertilization
and integration.

I've written a simple
and beginning exploration of
the structural vs. the functional way of going about
learning new ways of being.

It's at:

Ciao

Ryan - Thanks for passing on this news. It is great news for anyone in the somatic education field to make it to Oprah! What a joy that there might be more focus on the development the person through the body.

I've written a little bit about what I have been able to find out about Ida Rolf and Moshe Feldenkrais. Check it out at:
