Feldenkrais Podcast #14: C. Rabke, Feldenkrais, Structural Integration, Buddhist Guy

Today we have - Carl Rabke (spelled just like it doesn’t sound).

Carl brings a unique perspective to Feldenkrais Podcasts, he is a Structural Integration Practitioner (related to Rolfing), Feldenkrias Practitioner and also a practicing Buddhist .

In this podcast, recorded several months ago, I ask Carl why he made the switch from Structural Integration to Feldenkrais. He mentions being taken with Ruthy Alon’s books “Mindful Spontaneity” and, to Carl, the books evocation of Buddhist principles of awareness.

When I first recorded this Podcast, Carl was not yet done with his Feldenkrais training and I was curious what it was like to give Structural Integration sessions to clients while still learning Feldenkrais process. I was also interested in the idea of the “fascia” from a structural integration perspective.

BTW - In this podcast, Carl and I make reference to the “10 Sessions.” We are referring to the series of sessions that Structural Integration practitioners and Rolfers typically give to a new client.

Come see Carl and his wife Erin Geesaman at Body Happy in Salt Lake City Utah.
