What is a Podcast?
In a brief, podcasting is the relatively new phenomenon of putting media files - usually MP3 audios (and sometime video files) online - so that they can be shared and downloaded by anyone who is interested in the topic.
A typical podcast (like Feldenkrais Podcasts) is like a talk radio show, recorded so that you can listen to it when it’s convenient for you. Most of my podcasts are phone calls between myself and another person. I record the phone calls in several different ways. When I use Skype, there is a software program called “Call Recorder” that records the conversation. Sometimes, I use a teleconference service that records the phone call.
Once I have a recording I use SoundStudio or GarageBand to edit the file. Then I post the recording and link to it.
Poscasts work seamlessly withiTunes (and well with other music). So you can get your latest podcasts automatically if you got to iTunes, search for “Feldenkrias” or Ryan Nagy and then click the “subscribe.”. Of course, you can listen to podcasts on any MP3 player, not just Apple models.
I hope that helps. If you want to subscribe via email and get a notification anytime that a new post or podcast is published on Feldenkrais Podcasts, then enter your email below. Your email address will not be shared and will not be used for any other purpose
